Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized its 1st Athletics Meet

First Athletics Meet of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Khiala, Jalandhar was organized at the Athletic Track of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University on Feb 17 – 18, 2017. More than 300 students of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University participated in the meet.  Athletics Meet was started with Shabad Gyan remembering the Almighty. Hon’ble Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), Chancellor SBBSU alongwith the officials of SBBSU released the balloons leaving the message of peace & universal brotherhood. Prior to this Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) declared the Athletic Meet open.  Results: -  Shot put: (Boys) 1st position – Sukhdeep Singh (BA), 2nd position - Ramanpreet Singh (BA) & 3rd position – Ramandeep Singh (B.Sc-Agri) (Girls) 1st position – Rupinder Kaur (M.Ed.), 2nd position – Gurpreet Kaur (M.Sc - Chem) & 3rd position - Pinky (MBA) Long Jump: (Boys) 1st position – Ramandeep Singh (B.Sc - Agri), 2nd position - Karanveer Singh (BPEd) & 3rd position - Shobit (B.Tech-Agri) (Girls) 1st position – Amarjit Kaur (B Tech), 2nd position – Amandeep Kaur (B.Sc - Math) & 3rd position - Pooja (B.Tech) Javelin Throw: (Boys) 1st position – Karanveer Singh , 2nd position - Ekamjot Singh  & 3rd position – Balwinder Singh (Girls) 1st position – Rupinder Kaur (M.Ed.), 2nd position – Gurpreet Kaur (M.Sc - Chem) & 3rd position - Pinky (MBA) Discus Throw: (Boys) 1st position – Sukhdeep Singh (BA), 2nd position - Ramanpreet Singh (BA) & 3rd position – Ekamjot Singh (B.Sc-Agri) (Girls) 1st position – Pinky (MBA), 2nd position – Rupinder Kaur (M.Ed) & 3rd position – Manisha.

 400mts: (Boys) 1st position – Ramandeep Singh (B.Sc -Agri), 2nd position – Sunish Dadwal (B.Sc - Agri) & 3rd position  Shubham Singrana (B.Sc - IT) (Girls) 1st position – Amarjit Kaur (B Tech), 2nd position – Sukhbir Kaur (M.Sc - IT) & 3rd position – Simranjit Kaur (B.Tech) 
 100mts: (Boys) 1st position – Paramjit Rai, 2nd position - Ramandeep Singh & 3rd position – Jagjeet Singh. (Girls) 1st position – Dapinder Kaur, 2nd position – Sukhvir Kaur & 3rd position – Saroj. 
 4 X 100mts Rlay : (Boys) 1st position – University Instt of Education, 2nd position – University Instt of Sciences & Humanities and 3rd position University Instt of Computer Applications. 
(Girls) 1st position – University Instt of Engg & Tech, 2nd position – University Instt of Computer Applications and 3rd position University Instt of Sciences & Humanities 
 Tug of War Boys - 1st position - University Instt of Sciences & Humanities, 2nd position - University Instt of Engg & Tech Girls – 1st position - University Institute of Commerce & management. 2nd  position University Instt of Computer Applications. 
 
Best Athlete  - Ramandeep Singh (B.Sc – Agri) - Boys, Amarjit Kaur (B.tech) – Girls. Best March Past  - University Institute of Commerce & management. Overall Champion  - University Institute of Education The students who have secured the top position were honored by Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) with Medals, Certificates & cash prize. The SBBSU Gatka Team of Girls performed a very impressive Gatka show. On this occasion S. Kewal Singh (Vice President, SBBSMCS), S. Hardaman Singh Minhas (Secretary SBBSMCS), S. Surinder Singh Parmar (Joint Secretary SBBSMCS), S. Parmjit Singh, S. Pritpal Singh, S. Amarjit Singh, S. Joginder Singh, S. Kuljit Singh Bhatti, S. Gian Singh – All Members SBBSMCS, Dr. Jatinder Singh Bal (Advisor to Chancellor), Lt Gen JS Dhillon, VSM (Retd) (Director General SBBSEC), Dr. VR Sharma (Vice Chancellor SBBSU), All Deans, All Principals, All HODs, All NRIs, Faculty Members of SBBSEC and students were also present.  Dr. Pritam Singh, Head Deptt of Physical Education & Sports alongwith his team took keen interest and worked hard to make the event a grand success.
